Wine cellar
The cellar was built in 1959 by Veselič Miran, professor at the Agriculture Faculty in Ljubljana. The significance of the cellar is its architecture. Its form is round and was the first of that kind in Slovenia. It has two underground levels. A constant temperature is maintained in the cellar, a must for top quality wine making. The capacity of the cellar is 1.3 million litres of wine.
In the lower level we keep excellent archive wines from as far back as 1950.
On the ground floor a wine-tasting hall is located, which can accept 50 to 60 people. On the top of the cellar is a terrace with a nice view of the surrounding landscape. In clear weather the view reaches both Austria and Hungary.
